when do companies (generally) release their new line of headunits?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif do all companies release them at the same time? is it seasonal? or is every company sporadic? i'm thinking about buying one right now (kenwood), but i wouldn't mind waiting if something new and cool is coming out soon.

billybrown66 ~ I can't speak for any other companies with any real certainty as I don't keep up with them near as closely as I do Kenwood. But if you're specifically thinking of a Kenwood product purchase you can be reasonably certain that nothing new will get released until sometime between April and July of '06. If they stay true to custom (at least what's been customary the last decade or so) that's the window when the new model year's lineup gets introduced.

So, for now, the two top end Kenwood decks are the XXV-01D and the KDC-X889. At the very least for the next 5-6 months.

well i do know that they are defined by years, i just didnt know what time of year they came out or whether or not they were released yearly, bi-yearly, etc.

Pioneer releases all of their new shit usually in the spring but they don't make it to most retailers til almost summer.
