Nah we played it for a couple of minutes at low volume. Then we turned it up and it died.

Yep, thats the rundown of last night. I don't know what happened. The gain was 1/2 way up and the bass boost was on about 1/4-1/8 just barely on. I didn't use a dmm or anything when we hooked it up. I don't know that I have ever seen a sub smoke like that. Smoke came pouring out the port. The box was 5.5@34hz. Made for 2 l7 12's but only had one in it at the time.

Anyone know if a L7 12 can be reconed?

LOL, YES!

Kicker might not, but the sub is worthless without a cone. Would if be possible just to buy a new cone from kicker and do it yourself?
