SOmetimes it adds, sometmes it hurts, sometimes it does nothing.

It usually reaises Fs.

Yes.

Cabin gain is basically a complex resonance happening inside the car.

Not nessicarily.

Cabbin gain can be panel resonance, standing wave 'buildup', Cabbin compression, airspace resonance, wave path travle distance....among other things.

I gained when I did my Maxima. Everything but the roof. it wasn't much, .4, but it was worth it to me. I am sure different vehicles react in different ways. Just my experience.
