Dude.... Did I Get RIPPED

But why wouldn't it push the subwoofer AT all.... he said it hit hard in his car and i believe him off that same amp..... what if anythign should i do? The wiring is right?????

answer me this

1)The wiring is right or wrong????

2) The sub is probably fine?

3) What kind of amp should i look out for to power it?

I also have an alpine mrp F200 4 channel amp but i doubt it would be powerful enough or make any difference bridged to the sub

OK so my wiring is wrong (which would be a major problem) right?!
No the wiring is correct, your sub is a D2 which can turn into 4 or 1ohm. Since your amp is not 1 ohm stable its sees a 4 ohm load which gives it 200 rms. If u want to get the full 400 rms u will net to get sub that is D1 or D4.

Generally an amp makes more power at lower impedences. Wiring 2 subs would drop the impedence to 2 ohm, which produces ~400 watts from your particular amp. With 1 sub you're at 4 ohm...which is only ~200 watts.

so my sub can transform into a d4 or d1 and i need to get another d1 or d4 then get a bigger box for the two...... why don't i just get an amp for the sub that will work
Look for an amp thats 1ohm stable. Match the Rms from the amp to the RMS from the sub.
