Does a single 2 ohm DVC sub run at 2 or 1 ohm? Trying to find an amp. Im sure this has been asked so if someone could send a link id appreciate it.

Im going to try my new Skar EVL8 D2 on my JL JD500/1 for now. My JL 10TW1-4 is slightly underwhelming in the current underseat downfiring box.

You'll have to wire it to a 4 ohm load. That amplifier isn't 1 ohm stable

You loose alot of performance generally on a downfiring application. Poor acoustics, especially if you have carpet

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you are actually downgrading. You'll be losing cone area and half your watts. No bueno.

I just expected more for the price. But yeah i agree with the downfiring.

Im sure alot of it has to do with the factory stereo. I have '21 F150 and it cuts the bass as you turn up the volume. Im constantly having to adjust the remote bass knob and it just sounds terrible at high volume.

Wow! What a big difference! It sounds so much better than the underseat JL. And it super easy to take out if i ever need to have someone ride in the back.

Now you have given the sub some room to do work, and serve
