dual orion 2500d's, performace ????

looking into amp options after i sell of this IA 20.1 after its repaired....... i have dual 1.4dcs ohm coils to work some so essentially a 1ohm nominal load...and i wanna shit ton of power for when i go into spl applications...

i was considering 2 2500ds.....my question is what kind of current draw would i be lookin at with a 1ohm load presented to them it, making half that and present a .5ohm load on each amp (correct)? what kind of current draw and power could i expect around there, also i'd be getting a 220amp alty (2 red tops now, probly an added yellow top or another red top) (

i was thinking for daily i could do them strapped on a 4ohm load which would present 2ohm load to each (3600ish watts maybe right?).... what kind of current draw around there?

for the price im thinking 2 2500d's would be my best bet to get the most watts with a relativly reputable brand (as opposed to some shit brand).

only other thing i was thinking was 2 optidrive 2000d's strapped, but im leaning towards the orions more.....

i want to get my hands ona kicker kx 2500.1 and run 2 of those in time, but thier not strappable and thier more exspensive, best i could do is 500 for a used refurb, and probly more than that for another one down the line....id rather have 2 amps i can strap instead of going through the pain of tuning both amps together like i did for my 2 1501ds.....

what do u guys think? get the the kx 2500.1 and another later or go the orion route for a little cheaper....how much more efficent are the kickers gonna be with 2 of them (each kicker @ 2 ohms nominal)

if you strap them at .5, each amp will see .25, i would do 1 amp per coil

i have a dual 2 nominal (1.4dcr) o.....not quite .5ohm.... so a .7 ohm load dcr 1ohm load nominal, we're talking daily mostly here and just crankin it up for comps.

also the 20.1 came DOA from UPS playing soccer with it, and besides id need a MUCH lower ohm for this to get thos meost out of it, so it's going for sale soon as i get it back and fixed.....

i was thinking 2 orion 2500d's, 2 lanzar optidrives 2000d's, 2 kicker 2500.1.......any other suggestions?

i want the goliath for sale but its outa my budget and i dotn have all the much cash till the IA is back and sold

2 rockfor 2001bd's or 30001's would be my suggestion.

i think im gonna go with teh kickers

wanted to do powerbass or lanzars or planet audios or power acoustiks or orions due to the price but ive talked to people that have used these amps.......and it seems kickers that way to go...more efficent i suppose...sucks cause they're exspensive

I was running two orions previously.. wasn't anything special. Happier with a single Goliath.
