Since both will be located up front, and really all you are doing is providing a path for the secondary battery to be charged, really the 80 amp would work fine for your application.

Ok I think I'll connect the batteries with 4gauge then maybe do the big 3 with 0 gauge and run 0 to the amp.

Well, if you're gonna do it that way, quite taking shortcuts and just use 1/0 between the batteries too. lol

Yeah.. might as well just buy a spool of 0 gauge and do it all that same. At least if you decide that you want more power later on down the road you'll be prepared and you won't have to redo everything.

Well the think is, I have enough wire to do as planned. If I do 0 all the way through, I'll need another $50 worth of 0 gauge. I won't be going any bigger in this build. I'm a family man and have scaled way back..lol
