dual alts. on cherokee?

ok plannin to get the dc power 260 alt. wanted to run 10k watts and either 4 18's(prolly wont fit) or 4 15's walled. well one alt no problem jus direct replace and replace crap batt wit kinetik and add some more in the rear(prolly 4) but im told its not enough to not have to charge the batts like once a week(live at an apartment so charging isn't possible) so im thinkin jus run 2 260 amp alts. to do so i can easily make the space by gettin rid of the ac compressor cause it wont hold frion plus it sucks gas(already down to 7-9 a gallon as is) so since i dont use it why not remove it fab some brackets and run another alt there and run it straight to the back batts for direct charge(is that how to run it?) wanted to know if anyone has done it yet or knows someone and can get me pics. and whats the pros vs. cons? 2 260amp alts and a total 5 1400 kinetiks(unless i can get bigger batts used for cheaper?) and 10k watts? will it work will it be sufficient and will it feed 4 2500.1 kickers?(or diablos?)

As far as the electrical goes, yes you can do a single wire second alt in place of the AC with some fabing. As long as you have the material and tools, it is doable.

As for the batteries, you will need either more or larger batteries. 5 x HC1400 = 7000W of coverage. You need 5 x HC2000 to cover the 10kwrms. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I was running 12,000watts on a single DC Power special purpose alt for about a month and voltage would drop to 13.4v at 2k rpm.. But the alt handled just fine IMO. I had only 3 Deka 9A31's in back and one up front.

Yes that is one HC2000 in front and 4 in the rear. They will combine to make 10kW RMS of battery power.

I agree with this way as well. If you can fit the group 31 under the hood, that would be the HC2400 in the Kinetik line, you could go with just 4 batteries. Again, that would be one under the hood and three in the rear. I think that Deka is also a very good value brand. I simply prefer Kinetik batteries because I have used them many times and they have never failed to deliver for the installs I have seen. Not to mention that they support the industry and have very good CS.
