You may want to reconsider that brand. He has been known to use used parts in his alternators. Ask pop about that. Batteries are perfectly find and a good brand the alternator...I would be leery of according to a few people in car audio.

Let's say I'm gonna step up to 5kW. Would that still be considered overkill? FYI I have the factory 160A alt on my Tahoe right now.
