Depends on how much space under the hood you haveDo you think with some crafty skills it'd be possible to add one while keeping the AC?
Awesome! Thanks for the link. That's almost exactly what I was thinking of doing. There's a lot of room up top, so if I modify the stock alternator mount a tad, then there'd be plenty of room for a second.you can do it without losing the a/c, there really isnt much fab, well if you are ok with just buying some flat steel for $5 and you might have to weld one, it really isnt hard at allhttp://www.s10forum.com/forum/f27/dual-alternators-in-an-03-blazer-pic-328046/
Its not hard at all. you will need some steal and a grinder and a drill with some bits. I put mine next to each other and just used two ad244 alts and piggy backed the plug to have two. Pic...sparkplug (and anyone else) - i have a 1996 4 door, 4WD, 4.3L Blazer. I am desperately trying to figure out a dual alternator setup using two stock (preferably ad244) alternators. I am willing to give up A/C if necessary. Could you give details/pictures of your setup? It would be greatly appreciated.
they dont make one for the 4.3 had to get mine made a fabrication shop 100 bux.Talk to some of the big name alt companies like Mechman, Ohio Gen, Excessive amperage, or Powermaster. They have some duel alt brackets and if they dont have the right one for you may be able to make a custom one.
