dual 2 ohm or dual 4ohm?

im getting ready to buy a type R but i dont know if i should get the 2 or 4 ohm one. HELP?? i will only run the 1 sub alone.

Get the dual 4 ohm and wire it down to 2 ohm....you'll get the most wattage...600 watts @ 2 ohms.

Get the dual 4 ohm and wire it to 2 ohm so it will be seeing 600 RMS.

when you wire it its either 2 or 8 ohms so wire it to 2

This is new for me as well, so let me try and explain the best i can.

On the Type R sub, there will be two areas to connect speaker wires...one on each side. On each of these connections, there will be a positive (red) and a negative (black) connection.

Let's call them RED 1, BLACK 1 (for the connections on one side) and RED 2, BLACK 2 (for the connections on the other side). You are going to run a wire from RED 1 to RED 2. You are then going to run another wire from BLACK 1 to BLACK 2. Now you are set to run wires to the amplifier (or to your speaker terminals on your box...which will then go to the amplifier). You will run a wire from RED 1 to the positive terminal on your sub box (which goes to the positive terminal on the amp) and you will run a wire from BLACK 2 to the negative terminal on your sub box (which goes to the negative terminal on the amp).
