dual 2 ohm L7s

when u your wiring 2 dual 2 ohm subs you have to join the + and - on the subs and split the plus and minus off the amp to the other + and - of the subs to make the load stay at 2 ohm....does it matter if you join the + and - of the same voice coil or not???? make any diff?
