Dual 12 ported box for civic hatch!!

Up up and away, lots of pictures to start.

Old box is falling apart, and looks / sounds like crap in the car, so with the help of CA.com I've designed a new box.

2 X 12" 2000SPL (Premier) subs, almost 6 cubes (Might screw some lumber in to shrink it later) 50sq. in. of port, tuned to ~34hz.

The old box is just around 5cubes, and it has under 40sq. in. of port ... if it's REALLY bad, I'll up it to 70sq. in.

You shall have your wish! In about 2 hours, minus finish (Gonna be bare mdf for a while... but I'm gonna paint the whole box eventually

Not quite the final shape!!

Got the angled back laid out, just gotta get the cuts right, then some pieces to make sure the top fits flat on the bottom, sub cut outs, and silicone.

Took my paint pieces inside, too much crap in the air, gonna finish 'em off with about 6X coats each, and a few clears... hope it turns out half as nice as some of the stuff I've seen elsewhere here!

Wowie... what an oversight!!! Hope I have some spare room to cut a beauty panel and paste it overtop, this is gonna be ugly otherwise!

Front of the box, not screwed down yet, but in place and sittin pretty!

Probably the last update for tonight as it's too dark to see my bits / screws outside, and my cuts are getting a bit sloppy =( Gonna finish the night putting the port together, screw it in tomorrow morning, finish mounting the top, cut the sub holes, run wires and it's done!!
