dual 1 ohm sub question

Just got my xcon 10"s and they are supposed to be dual 1 ohm. When I check them with my dmm I'm getting 1.5 ohms per coil. Is this normal or did they build me dual 2 ohm. I want to install these but not sure how to wire them. I got a 3800.1 to run them at 1 ohm but not sure about the impedance. Could somebody verify what I got here. Thanks

Sounds like a dual 2. You could wire it to 1.5 and probably wont notice much loss in output though

Measure your leads. They probably are dual 1.

You can't wire DVC 1 to 1ohm.

Oh it gets worse. I ordered two of them to wire to a final 1 ohm load. Just opened the box of the 2nd one and the entire basket is destroyed and a huge rip in the surround. Looks like ups manhandled it pretty good. Nothing like going without bass for a month to find this

Post up pics of said destroyed basket. It's not UPS fault if the package was packed properly. How did one make it alright and the 2nd didn't?

UPS,USPS, and FedEx get such a bad rep when delivering packages. I get it. I've been there and also worked there. Yes I've seen with my own eyes how they handle packages. It's very fast paced and their under time constraints for the drivers to get the trucks loaded to get ready to hit the road. 99% of the time its the shippers fault or whomever packed the item(s) properly. Some of the time, they think they know how, but really don't.

I tried to post pics and only one went through. The entire thing is destroyed. I think your right. The packing on these subs ****** compared to the last 12" xcon I bought last year. It had a nice wood frame in the box and these dont

Well not sure who's fault and not blaming anyone I just want my subs. Now ssa is gone to a show and all I get is email saying they will take care of it. I absolutely hate doing business through email. I just want to talk and get some definite answers. I'm out $800 + and still have no bass !

Ouch man that *****...There has to be someone there. Can't just shut down business for a few days while a show is going on. That's not good business.
