dsmdan's 05 Ram Quad Cab Blow-Through Build

Alright here's the pics of the build process. Still need to clean up the wiring, get the other seat mounted, mount the RF amp, and get some bracing on the blow-thru port, it rattles a bit lol.

Here's what I came up with for wiring the subs.

Batt's term mounting for now until I get some angle stock and make a real batt tray/rack. Still doesn't look bad with the strap haha.

Its loud! So far I love it. My grandmother called me about 11 pm and said turn it down b/c I woke her up and she's trying to sleep. She lives over 1/4 mile away haha.

Lemme know what you think, thanks!

Looks good man! Wish my cut in the bed came out as nicely as yours as well. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Just a few things...

How does the cover work with the box sitting so high?

Did you use an accordion boot between the cab and the bed? Or just the MDF? And how is the wood between the two working out, considering the bed and cab move independently?

Do you plan on 'glassing the outside of the box? I did on mine and I would on yours too...

And does your box resonate at all, laying in the bed? Mine does, and I can't figure out why. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

The tonneau cover I have is a bit higher than the bed and gives me just over 21" with it closed. It fits great, I'll snap some pics tomorrow.

Yes, I did use an accordion seal. I cut the hole in the cab a hair larger to allow for movement of the bed vs. cab. I also sealed the accordion seal first by using sound deadener around my cuts, and also using mopar weatherstrip adheasive.

Glassing the outside of the box is def. a possibility. I can have box out in about 15 minutes so I can easily glass it at a later date. For right now I just wanted it done and I ran out of glass.

I don't notice any resonance so far, but I did strap down the front part of the box to bed b/c it was rattling a bit on the bed floor.

Box looks to tall.... what kind of cover are you going to use to prevent it from getting wet?
I'll snap some pics tomorrow but my fiberglass cover is a bit taller than the bed, and gives me just over 21" of height.

Today in my spare time from Easter, I pulled the box back out and added some bracing to cab port, and painted that port at well. Looks much better now, and less rattle.

I'm going to try and find a rear window without the slider b/c mine is flexing way too much, I think a solid window would help.

I'm going to run to the local audio shop tomorrow and show it off. I know they have a meter, but IIRC its not a TL.

It did pull a hairtrick with my sister today, can't wait to get some vids.
