DSC4125 or DSC480?

Stopped by the local shop on the way home from work. They didn't have any of their house built pre fab boxes, but they did have an Atrend box so I went ahead and got it. The owner said he would warranty it just like their own boxes. It's a single DF 10" box. 1.0 CF and 6.5" mounting depth.
I've pretty much settled on the DSC 4125 at this point, so now I need to make up my mind on the sub.

So the CCA wire will be fine for my application? This is OFC and includes a 4 channel RCA. is it worth the few extra bucks?

Tsunami AMP850BL 4 Gauge Car Amp Installation Kit + RCA - eBay (item 260612243577 end time Jun-30-10 09:17:43 PDT)
Should've bought an enclosure for a 12" and went with the MB Quart RWE-304. It would've been perfect for the amp, 500 watts rms @ 4 ohms. 1.0 cubes sealed would've been fine too...

Alright, when I go back tomorrow I'm just going to get a 12" DF box, order a RSD12 and find a DSC4125.

Did you see my question about the wiring kit?

Edit: So are yall recommending the RWE302 over the RSD12?

no the knu will be fine i cant comment on the tsunami, the knu is really 3awg

That amp kit will be fine if it really is true 4ga. If you don't plan on adding any other amps in the future, go for it. But if you do, I'd go with bigger wire so you don't have to go through the hassle of pulling out the old stuff and putting in the new. But as far as being enough for a single amp, yes, it should be fine, but I have no first hand experience w/ tsunami. Someone else will probably chime in.

I don't see why you would go with the tsunami over the Knu, though. In this case, the CCA vs OFC debate is of little importance. You're not drawing enough current for it to really matter - I'd still stick with the knu. It comes with a bigger fuse, as well...

Dude, put some thought into the RWE-304. It's a hell of a nice SQ oriented sub for $70. It was designed by MB Quart prior to the Maxxsonics buyout and it was built in the USA by Rockford Fosgate. The Phoenix Gold RSD is a pretty nice entry level sub, but the MB Quart RWE-304 wasn't intended to be entry level. Just sayin'...

The wiring kit you linked will do the job, but I'd spend the extra $20-ish for a knu kit...

All these options are tough to wrap my head around haha. How bout the DSC 4125, RWE-302, I swap my current box for a 12" box, and get the CCA amp kit from Knu? Sound like a good plan?

The guy at the shop commended me for actually having done my research on stuff, but I still feel like a complete newb. Thank yall for bearing with me for so long. I really do appreciate it.

Sound like a good plan to me.

And no prob. At least you didn't buy first, then research - we like helping newbs before they buy instead of trying to fix their problems afterwards.

Here are a few resources which can answer many questions:

The CCA wire is fine, I just didn't know if I was at the point of needing to go with OFC, power wise.

Believe it or not I actually did know I needed either a 2 ohm DVC or 4 ohm single coil sub, but understanding ohms took me several times reading it through before it clicked.

After I get everything in the truck I will be researching on how to correctly set the gains. Never done that before, kinda scares me.
