Dropping a turck, the gay or FTW?

Ok so i'm saving for rims and putting performance aside for a few months on my dakota. the new rim's i'm going to get later this summer are a 29.7" diameter after the tire and that's smaller than the tires i have now so i need the gap smaller. anyway, if ya wanted to know, these are the rims i'm getting : http://superbuytires.com/Boss/Type%20313/ in the black. anyway, i'm thinking i might lower the truck 2" in front and 2" in back or 2" in front and 4" in back. I'm wondering what i should use to do it and if it would be gay or look tight.
Thanks in advance.
dropping the back more than the front is the pinnacle of gayness.... I about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sick.gif.b1847c8dabbfeeddbcf1a78052249e10.gif when I saw it for the first time visiting socal...

however some trucks look slick with an even drop... it really deoends on the truck

I would go with a 2/4 drop on the Dakota man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif...

It's pretty cheap too, Springs up front... blocks in the rear. Thinking of doing it to my 92 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif...

20" chrome rim's won't exactly make it look smaller. and i can't get bigger as they won't fit. the truck is a dodge dakota, jacking up a dakota= the gay. lowering it to the ground= the gay. i don't want it so low that when i put the r/t engine in this year, and put a supercharger in later this year i lose control. that's why i'm lowering it, guess i should have been more clear on the details lol.
the factory size is a 30" tire, the one's i have on now are just 1 size up. if i lower the truck it'll make the wheel well look smaller that's why i'm wanting to do it aside from the added performance handling i'll get with a slight drop.
sounds like a good reason to drop it... black rims will look good... just keep it's bumper off the speed bumps

When you buy a drop kit it always evens the truck out. the numbers are uneven becaus the rear end is higher on stock trucks.most of the time. for example 2/3

Yup..my truck had a front end rake on it prior to the drop, I like the rake somewhat or else I would have given the torsion bars a crank or 2 to raise the front end slightly.

Nope, put it on the ground. FTW //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif If you can find a 2"/3" drop, that would work well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Durrrr.....

It's because in trucks ALL the weight is in the front... like... the engine etc... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

No weight in the back, so it needs to be lowered more to give the even look. Unless you want to drive around with a FULL payload all the time.

So, on trucks... un-even is standard. Usually 2/3 or 2/4 drops to start off with.

i say put it on the ground. if you had a 4x4, i'd say jack it up with som boggers

the good thing about lowering w/ rims though is it doesn't strain your drivetrain nearly as much as a liffted one w/ big tires

black on black is sicck to, but i like the chrome better
