power windows

power window on the drivers side stopped working this morning, just wondering if anyone has had to deal with fixing one of these before,

when the switch is pressed down, there is no noies from the motor or anything...

could it just be a corroded switch or a completely bad motor?

check switch. check motor. check what ever.

check everything as best as you can but if it turns out that the motor is the problem just go to a local junkyard or ebay and they will be pretty cheap.

find a forum for your specific vehicle type... i had the same problem with my crx sunroof hit up honda-tech and they had a how to to fix the problem

Mine broke on my civic, made a screetching noise for about a month b4 it went out. luckily, i knew it was going to go out, so i ordered a motor, and the day it went out, i put the new one in. was like 60bux i think or less on ebay.

man i wish my power window's went out for this reason. stupid *** dodge puts .02 cent plastic washer looking things to hold the window in track.

try the switch first.

then motor.

Sounds like a switch. motors die slowly. they go down, but not back up.

Grab a DMM, pull out switch....test to make sure switch is getting power....

yeah im guessing its the switch, because there is no noise from the motor when i press it down, or up
