Dropped my civic! (PICS!)

really.. ebay coils?? ive heard they eventually end up sagging or the just end up blowing out.. i hope you dont have any probs with that.. i just let you know that ebay headlights fit like ish.. i had them installed and i wasnt able to fit all of the oem screws back in as well as have my bumper line up correctly.. let me know if you want some pics of my install..
YEa, if they screw up, then i'm not out any real dough. Then i can just replace them with some better ones, and lesson learned. no biggy. Yea, pm me some pics of your headlights though. mine should be in monday.

^ werd if you keep it that low youll kill the shocks and get very bouncy
If these coils last, i am going to upgrade shocks, and all that.

that little amount of camber is no big deal. i just would hate to drive that low all the time. your turning radius has to be ****in HUGE.
i love this camber. these tires i have on it right now are at about 50% i got used real cheap, so if by the time i notice wear, it'll be time for new tires anyways, then i can fix the camber, and get new tires. If the don't wear terribly, i wont fix the camber. I like it. sexay

also, don't drop it anymore. The rear sits higher stock, you want it that way. Even if it is an inch. The driver side is higher, because you sit there ALL the time. It compensates for driver weight.
I brought the rear down the 3/4, but my shocks were bottoming out, so i took it back up a half. So total it only came down another 1/4 I am happy with it now. the bottom of the car is even all the way aroud at the highest point in al four corners being 5".

i like it
thanks dude!

not with the CORRECT shocks......stocks will, but shocks are relatively cheap.
i kno, I assumed he had the stockers in there.

Im not sure how long those ebay coils will last. Alot of them crack but it depends on roads and driving habits but im in NYC maybe thats why I hear alot of them crack.

Hope it works but if I wee you Id look around for a deal on some Teins, H&R, Eibach etc. You on any civic forums?

yea, registered at d-series.org, and i lurk honda-tech every now and then. I am going to see how these pan out, then upgrade my shocks if they work out. for now, they are ok.

looks pretty nice..I like 4dr's..

get some ARP extended studs and some locking lug nuts since you broke the stud..not hard at all.

the negative camber wont eat up the tires as badly as everyone thinks..its the tow angle that kills tires. If you get rid of the camber, its pretty much pointless to drop something other than the looks.

you live in the ghetto
Actually, i live next door to it. We (my wife and i) own our place next door to the apartments. It's nice really. Lot's of old people. We own .5 acres, a huge shop, and a trailer. Nothing fancy, but it works.

yeah ill get you pics soon. how do you handle the drop with a full ride?? like with an extra 3-400 pounds in the back with your friends.. i dont know i low i can drop my lx since i constantly have friends in my car and dont want to scrap anything!

I've only had one friend in the back so far, anbd he only weighs like 140. No issues with just him, and me and my wife in the front. Me being 180, and her 140.

Pulled up beside this tonight at the gas station. I had to snap a pic. His tires were above my window line. B)

looks good man.. wanted to do something like that with my civic but the roads around here are to brutal for dropping it that low or puttin a kit on it.. nice work tho man..

Andrew

yea, it's a lil rough. ive just had to pick a better route to work than i used to take. Also, i need to replace some studs on the front so i can really get into her on some windy roads. I will have some vids of her rolling in a bit too. I had a friend drove it around the blockt he other day while i watched, it looks even SICKER rolling. Monday i am replacing all my lug studs on the front, then washign her up, reinstalling my deck, and putting a deck on my friends new miata, and we are going to take a photo shoot, and hit some windy roads!
