driving under the influence of anything is no joke. i lost one friend to a drunk driver last thanksgiving...and a couple summers ago another person i know completely lost his motor skills/brain functions and his life will never be the same...

some of us might come off as being kind of harsh, but when you post something like this, you need to think of what kind of emotions you might incite in people...driving stoned usually does not trigger people to say "oh that's so cool i wish that i could drive while stoned as well as you do!"

do any ppl here drive under the influence of anything? I kno i always drive when im high but never when im drunk except i drove drunk like 1 time but it was only for 1/2 a mile. I think it is hard to not drive under the influence. Especially the type of life i lead, i smoke soo much **** weed and go to too many parties.

you remind me of my friend matt...he is baked about 90% of the time he drives and this kid smashes....its scary..driving with him for 2 weeks straight is scary as all hell....iv only driven baked once or twice..its my least favorite thing to do...its hard to keep track..you cant tell whats going on...you spaceout...and i dont drink...its just...not my style...weed....i mean it causes no harm and you can function a little bit on it..but drinking and driving is the stupidest shit in the world...iv drank once in my life and that was enough for me..i hold no respect for those who drink to get drunk,and for seom reason i really look down on girls when they drink..i dunno why..i think they're higher than that..if worse comes to worse just stay where u are man...better than putting other people's lives in danger...drinking in general is stupid to me...and driving while drunk is gay as fuc k.theres so many rich little punks around where i live that drink just to drink and its not even a social thing and it pisses me off.they go and get drunk and then drive around like they own the world and it just...just makes me wish theyd fuc kup their car and realize how DAM N STUPID IT IS....drinking pisses me off...the only time id ever drink would be if i dont have to drive and if its just one beer to help me eat some food...ghah i hate this...theres too many people that have died because some little prick has thought he has been able to make it home ok.and time after time the drunk driver has gone away fine and ruined a young kid's hopes and dreams or destroyed a family and taken away a dad or a mom..drink..fine..thats your own thing..just dont drive around me cuz if i find you first thing im doin is stopping you.beatin ur as$,stealing your keys because you deserve it,and taking your subs.smoke..thats fine...just dont drive...i know i have..but it was a last resort and i know i shouldnt have.i dont do it anymore.its one them one time gigs...just...dont drink and drive..seriously...dont smoke and drive either...cuz some shit u cant even move and how u expect to drive on that..

Driving while drunk/high is one of those things that I feel should result in the permanent suspension of your license, impounding of your car, a fine of $1000, and at least one month jail time. There is absolutely no reason you should ever be driving under those conditions. I don't let my friends drive after parties unless I know they're sober. And if a drunk driver hurt/killed any of my friends or family and lived, they would receive a paralyzing injury to the back, ensuring they could never again hurt anyone with a motor vehicle. DUI is one of the most aweful and stupid crimes someone can commit, and I have no remorse whatsoever for anyone who does it.

I knew all three of those guys, I worked with them in a grocery store in High School. The one who got his forearm amputated and head scalped was a really, really nice kid, but his parents were dicks and treated him like shit, and he had a habit of hanging around with the wrong crowd. The guy driving was by far one of the biggest pieces of shit I had the displeasure of knowing, he had three kids by age 18, dropped out of school, sold coke, started a gang, and was just overall a horrible person. It's so fu*ked up that this type of shit happens to good people, and if someone would just NOT DRIVE WHILE DRUNK, then it could be avoided.

God I fuc*ing hate drunk drivers.

What's fuc*ed up is that since he fled the scene, they can't prove he was under the influence, so he can't get convicted of a DUI, and thus only gets 2 and a half years.

Not only is it childish to drive under the influence of somthing, but it is also very stupid to admit doing it on a public forum to people you dont even know.

its people like marty that give us inspiration and hope when all things have gone horribly wrong.and whats even worse is that there are so many other stories like this.where the driver gets off with not alot of trouble and the one who's fault it isnt is fuucked over for the rest of their life...i hate how things work

ok i havent read this post since the day i posted it (i was really high) and i see a lot of people disagree with my ideas.

i dunno why the **** i posted the thread i was just thinking about shit kinda loaded. Um i didn't say that i drive drunk to let everyone here know because i already kno that is like the worst thing to do i get drunk a lot and never hop in the car when im perked if im driving. To those who blew up: i am sorry i evoked such emotion! I smoke about 3 times a day every day i am a major pothead who likes cars and music and i smoke in my car like every day. I think a lot of people get the impression that drivers who are impaired drive like lunatics and kill people. I know my limits and I know when I have had too much. I think that I can safely drive when I am under the influence of marijuana because I do it so much, and i obey the law while i am driving. I am not speeding around corners, blasting my music, running red lights and causing dangerous conditions on the road. I keep my music at a chill level and I drive leisurly I dont try to be king of the road or anything If i am driving high Im usually going somewhere close. I will rarely hop on the freeway when im high and if i do It will be when it has basically wore off. I have been in an accident before and it was when i WASNT under the influence of anything i was sober as a dog and it was the other persons fault, it was a minor crash in which i recieved a thousand dollar check because it definetly wasn't my fault.

You guys can jump to conclusions and say im a bad person or you hope i die but I am trying to say where I am coming from how I live. You don't have to tell me what I am because I know who I am just like you know who you are. To the guy who said if i got in an accident with him he would beat the shit out of me: I am not mad at you man, I would beat someones *** who crashed into me, but I dont crash into ppl im not a dickhead.

I guess nobody on here really understands where I am coming from, I take it you guys aren't potheads like I am. Thats ok, but I try to be safe with my habit and smoking in the car with the knock is the shit boy!

Honestly i could care less if people decide to drive drunk. Yeah i would be pissed off if my friends got killed.. But if you're going to say that shit, then how about drinking in general? My buddies brother died in a fire because they were drinking, and were too wasted to get out. Drinking is stupid, and you do stupid shit when drinking. That's why Drunk drivers get into hella shit, because it's stupid.

Don't get me wrong, i'd never get caught driving drunk it's one of the stupidest things ever, but the people have enough to deal w/ without me pissing and moaning at them. That's what the lawyers and laws are for.
