d'appolito style (dual woofs(tmm=tweet midbass midbass))

you will need a sub no matter what if u want fully sound. i dunno about the extremis, but jim seems to know more than me about speaker drivers, so i'd go with what he'd say. offtopic, my new sub box is coming along niceley. 7 cubes.

it would rule running a 18" powered sub- two of those bastars!!!!
um that's a lil unnecessary. try a single 15" or a single 18". any thing more than that, either u love either energy bills (huge amps), home repairs (vibration damage) or are a bass head like myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

no but seriously, a good single 15" should and will get the job done just fine.

Anything more than a single 18" is unnecessary in an HT setup //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

D'Appolito is a MTM (mid-tweet-mid) style...

I'll write more when I'm more sober.

my bad, i realized that as soon as i typed it

i think i like the idea of using the extremis mids. can you run this set up with horns or do i need to stick with a twetter. so if i run dual 6.5's @ 8 ohm will that give me a 4 ohm load?

what 15" subs should i consider? i sold my velodine a couple of years ago- it was a 12" with 350 watts-that sub rattled the hell out of the walls

Why dont you use some ID 8's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

screw that!!!! hell if i wanted to use the id8's i mind as well use my idq8's. i dont want to be reminded of car audio when i listen to my home audio system. i want some ........ just shut the fvck up!!!!!!

hell, i've had nothing but bad luck with car audio i dont want the same results with home audio!!!!

1. That's not necessarily the equipment's fault //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

2. Some products do very well in both - for example, I'm running a Shiva (and soon) an RL-p at home...

i've had nothing but good gear in my cars and was never satisfied- not saying you cant use car audio in the home, i just want to go with whats best- no " afro engineering" or hack jobs. i'll keep my car gear for the car i have the money to buy real home audio equipment. im not trying to bash anybody doing this i just prefer to by home audio drivers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The preamp input on most amps is 10-20k ohms, so you don't really lose voltage. I've run plenty of systems off 2v preamps with no problems.

Link to antenna. I'm guessing the copper foil should be connected to glass, not metal, but lets see the antenna. Did it come with instructions?
