o.k im a total newb to this home audio stuff other than three ways im totally clueless!!! i want the best drivers money can buy that will "rule" for death metal. i listen to ver agressive music so i need drivers that can take a beating and sound good . i need help on brands, speaker, size, and any kind of box or system design will be nice. i plan on using adcom pre-amps and amps(200X2@8ohm)

i'm helping him design a setup, but for what he tells me, i think that a horn loaded enclosure would be best.

ill go back to my corner.

i've been kinda busy getten ready to go on european tour in mid may. i noticed people recommend alot of stuff off parts express,i dont like their technical support-they do have good prices though. yeah i think a horn loaded enclosure sounds pretty good. i just need find some good drivers

one of thesehttp://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=294-460

with this horn

and this lense

all of that crossed somewhere between 500 and 800 hz in a 8 cu ft vented box with (3) 4" x 4.387" ports should make your head implode.......

(those box specs are quoted from the jbl recommended box)

ok i think thats too much balls to the wall !!!!! what your recommending is pa material. i want to "rock out with my clam out" but i dont want to get locked up in the process //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/pullover.gif.ac2de04a20ebe8c72a715e86e00c8c0d.gif hell if i was gonna use pa gear i would run with phl stuff. i want the speakers to rule but im not looking to bring the walls down!!! any other suggestions?

ok heretic. u don't need fricking bose 901s. just tell me what kind of space requirements
medium-large room- dont want speakers to stand over 8 foot. multiple drivers ok- whatever sounds best for metal

The preamp input on most amps is 10-20k ohms, so you don't really lose voltage. I've run plenty of systems off 2v preamps with no problems.

Link to antenna. I'm guessing the copper foil should be connected to glass, not metal, but lets see the antenna. Did it come with instructions?
