Downsizing, need a smaller sub

Currently I have a audiopipe 3k running to a setup of 15's in about 7 cubes tuned at 34hz. As it stands now my box takes up my whole trunk and I want to at least use some of my trunk for its initial purpose. Looking for a nice 10 or 12 that can handle the 3k in a 1-2.5 cubed box. Decent SQ but mostly output. Budget is

dc lvl 5 or a mayhem, but at 450 better look used

I was looking at the lvl 5 and mayhem, just outside my range but doable, do any of you have experience with downsizing, how big was the drop off in output?
