Downsides to a loaded enclosure

or something like an MTX sledgehammer loaded enclosure

Typically use bottom of the line subs in a high tuned box for maximum boom on min power and with min SQ. I've read good reviews of the Sledgehammer enclosures though.

Sledgehammers sound alright. Still tuned a little too high and sized a little too small for my tastes. I listened to the 2 12" 5500 enclosure every day at CC while I worked there. No lows. But >40hz.... loud as hell.

also typically with basic craftsmanship skills u can build ur own box, and get better subs for less then the cost most of those are going for.

thats also what i was looking into getting, my firend has a set of them, two 12" 9500 series...its pretty acurate and is loud as hell...i think the sledges have like thunder superwoofers in them, or alteast the 9500 series...they appear to be
