Down firing

Depends on a lot of things, homie //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
What vehicle you haz?
Ford explorer, I was gonna have it firing against a piece of MDF instead of the carpet, if taht makes any difference.

Why do you want to do down firing? Is that just the sub or the port(s) as well?
Was gonna fire down port up/back. I'm just curious because not many people fire down, and I imagine that seeing the sub upside down in the box with a nice plexi window would look b/a

It might, but I feel like there might be issues with the space under the box, the air from the port will get stuck under the box instead of traveling through the cabin, if you see what I'm saying. I'm actually having that same issue now.

I did it in my grand am with some success. I would still do a sub up port back in an exploder though
I'm thinking I'm just gonna do that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif this whole aero port thing is hard, lol

Bandpasses **** for daily, depending on your goals on vehicle.

IMO, ported is just the way to go.

Just finished these, I think this will be the final version, I might try drawing an "AQ" on the plexi, but that's about it.

I've had good luck with down firing. You may consider using pilars to keep it off the floor since if you do full side walls it'll act like a bandpass and you will have unpredictable results.

Looks pretty, what are the specs and the woofer and the power going to the woofer?
I'm sticking an AQ HDC3 18" in there on 1500 watts.

41.25 x 16 x 25.5 ~ 8 cubes

two 6" aero's so 2(28.25) x 19.5 ~.65 cubes

~.2 cubes of sub displacement

~.05 cubes for bracing

sub will see ~7 cubes

ports are tuned to 32hz
