Double Din in my 2002 Blazer...

Hey guys, was just wondering if there is anyway I could get a double din in my blazer. If so, is there anyone who has done this before? Could someone give me a few pointers as to doing so?

i would also like to know if this is possible i belive the opening is what like 1.5 din it has always bothered me that i cant fit a HU in it without a dash kit of some sorts .. and would like to have a Double Din screen in there ..

they are 1.5 din...i got the dash kit for mine and i guess where the previous owner had the hu he messed something up so it just basically sits in there....

reason I ask is im looking into getting a double din of some sort if its possible...

well...I may try to afro engineer one in my blazer...im going to get some measurements tuesday when I get up and before I go to haul off my scrap metals...I will pm ya if I can get it done

cool i know its going to invlove cutting but see im not sure the panel or whatever it called thats around the hole isnt big enuf either so it would have to be cut and theres not much there to cut //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif theres vents on top and the a/c controls right below so i dont see how it would be possible .. do you have any ideas working around in your head ..>? if so let me know ..

I have heard that you can get the bezel from a 04-05 and make it work in 98-03's.

mines a 99'and like the first one it has the vents are above the HU ... i see that but dont see how its possible just went ouside and it looks impossible then i see that picture and its there it ****in with me now

what year model and dash configuration is yours ... i hoestly dont see it happening in mine without doing serious fabrication or do away with my a/c vent and do some fiberglass .. and in the southern heat im not losing my a/c vents LOL

The 04-05's came with the double din opening. If you guys need me to take any measurements on mine, just let me know. I'll be out workin on it all day.....
