Thinking about going 3-way active+sub with 8053

I've been toying around with going 3-way active for my front stage, but I'm having a hard time figuring out the easiest way to do it with my 8053.

Here's my crossover limitations for the low/mid/high RCA's

low: LP at 200hz

mid: HP at 63hz and LP at 12khz

high: HP at 200hz

I'm going to possibly put my tweets and a 3-4" midrange in my a-pillar area, and run the midbass either in the doors or in dedicated kicks. I'm thinking of doing an all Dayton setup since they're affordable and I like the RS-180's I have(in my closet right now).

The crossover points I'm thinking of are between 200hz and 4-5khz.

Here's what I'm thinking about using...keep in mind I don't have the highest budget to work with. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I'm looking at

tweets: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=275-030

midrange: http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=597

midbass: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=295-310

Since the midrange is the most important part of a 3-way, I figured I'd invest the most money in those(seems to be a good deal, tell me if I'm wrong).

I figure I can use the "low" rca to split off for my sub and midbass speakers. I'd just need to lp at 200hz at the HU, use my sub amp's crossover to lp them at 63hz, and use my midbass amp's crossover the hp at 63hz, thus making a 63-200hz bandpass for the midbass....I think I'm on the right track. Let me know if my thinking is off.

YOu might want to check out some Peerless products. They have some nice quality and good sounding drivers. I'm running some 10" midbass from them myself. I also installed some 7" midbass/range mids in my brother's car and they sound great.

http://www.madisound.com is where you can find them. The only downside is that they are 8 ohm drivers. The SLS midbasses have 4 ohm, which is a big plus.

Since you might might have your midranges and highs close to each other on the pillars, you can possibly run them passively and the rest actively.

u can go 2way+sub with that headunit not 3way+sub

BTW... i have my entire 3way for sale if u want it i need some money or it would still be in my truck

Ill take 300 shipped for everything

2- Rainbow profi 4's

Man I want to 3-way active too someday. But I would like to

use different crossover points.

Midbass - 80 Hz HP; 700 Hz LP

Mid - 700 Hz HP; 5000 Hz LP

Tw 5000 Hz HP

Those crossover points are all screwed up.
Subs would be up to ~63hz. Midbass from 63~200, 200-x, and x-20khz.

The X value really depends on the midrange and tweeter combination.
I meant that those are my maximum/minimum values that my HU allows. 200hz LP is as high as my "low" signal can be crossed. My "mid" signal can be bandpassed anywhere between 200hz and 10khz, and my "high" signal can be HPed as low as 200hz.

The way I'm wanting to do it is like this:

subs: LP at ~60hz with amp crossover

midbass: LP at 200hz with "low" signal crossover, then HP at ~60hz with amp crossover

midrange: BP between 200hz and 5khz with "mid" signal crossovers

tweets: HP at 5khz with "high" signal crossover

Sorry for the confusion.

Or I can get an all-Dayton setp with the RS-225's, RS-100's, and the 3/4" neo tweets I linked to earlier. It'll be a lot easier to fit these midranges in my a-pillar/dash corner, and I've heard tons of good things about them having VERY good upper end entension, so I'm really leaning towards these now.

Anyone have experience with these drivers? I have some RS180's and like them, but I just need more midbass and better midrange than what my 2-way can provide.
