door speaker placement

I want to put 5-1/4's in my front doors to bring some midbass up front. Is there a preferred location for door speakers that gives the best imaging? I don't want them to be in-your-face and overpower the rears, but I do want them to be heard.

depending on what type of vehicle you have.....there are different options...but for the best imaging i believe its qlogic i may be mistaken but they make a custom mad kick panel speaker panels....the kick pannels when tuned to the right angle provide the most accurate imaging spot....they are off by like 6 or 8 inches from the listeners ear....so that is what i would recomend seeing about doing.....
