are you clearing them gloss or satin? I personally like the satin as it looks more oem. 0.02

looks really nice by the way, I can't wait to see the final product
Thanks man,

most likely a satin look, to match the OEM panels.

Im a huge huge fan of the flat look.

a little bit about the process....

Basically I did the panels the long way, not by choice. Instead of just doing a simple pod, which would have taken a few days, I had to fiber glass pretty much most of the door as I had a hole cut from my previous 3 way set. the new focal mids are huge and would not have fit in the part. So I ended up having to do a layer over that, than do a layer over the rings, once that dried I screwed into the panel to secure it on for good. than I did another layer over top of it.

the filler took a long time, as I pretty much had to form a new shape and new curves, its really amazing how you can manipulate shapes with sandpaper and alot of time...

Paint : I used a SEM high build primer, than I used two cans of SEM texture Coat, Next im going to use SEM charcoal grey. than a finishing protectant coat.

Im really happy with the way it came out.

Very nice.
thanks man

Those are awesome man, I'll be happy if mine look half as good as those. I'm starting them tomorrow, any tips? Will be my first time doing doors. Already have the rings made to hold the mid and tweeter, will be 1 component set per door.

best tip I can give you, is be patient and persistent, I seriously must have bondowed and sanded 15 times. do some really good planning with the lay out to fiberglass as little as possible, it will save you alot of time. fleece is the only way to go.

good luck my friend, and post pics.
