Has anyone done bracking of the inside door skin? My '02 Explorer has a LOT of flex, and the area of the door handle (middle of the door). I sealed the door for better MB response, but I feel that I won't get all that ANY speaker has to offer, until I fet the flexing under control.
I'm looking for a few suggestions, as to how to proceed. I think that I could use 1/2" square, tube steel, rip it down the middle to get something rigid as the tube steel, but thinner, so it will fit under the door card. I'm looking to run a brace from the front to back, just under the door handle. And, from top to bottom, to intersect with the cross brace, and bolt/screw them together. With screws along the length of the door skin, I feel this should remove 70-80% of the flex.
BTW, I already have SS Damplifier on both the inner, and outer door skin.
