dont know alot about amps - quick ?

Im looking into getting two 12" Kicker solo L7's, now I just need an amp. What kicker amp should I get? I dont really know what types of amps are the best and such.

stay with a brand name and Kicker is a good one. You would want an amp that matched up with your subs power rating and the final ohm load. So if your subs handle 500 watts per sub then you would want either 2 500 watt amps or 1 1000watt amp. I would look at a kicker amp that pushes about 1000 watts.

if those subs are dual 4 ohm you could get a kicker kx1200.1 but if they are dual 2ohm you need to look into another amp.

Nothing really just the final ohm load like a dual 2 ohm sub can be wired to 1 ohm and 4 ohms, and the dual 4 ohm can be wired to 2 ohms and 8 ohms. So if your getting 2 12L7's get dual 2 ohm and wire them to 2 ohms and use an MTX 1501D.
