Hi everyone...a newbie question about gain/x-over adjustments...
I have a 2002 Chevy 4Dr Blazer, and i've decided to upgrade for some extra low-end, with minimal cash outlay...I've installed a modest subwoofer setup with my 2 old Bazooka 12's (150Wrms/driver), a Sony XM-1002HX, and 8ga power and gnd wire...i'm tapping into the rear doors speaker channels(with speakers disconnected) and they are feeding into the speaker level input on my amp...the subs are seeing just over 1.0cu ft/side sealed and firing towards the rear...the amp is in high-voltage mode at 100W/ch at 4ohms stereo...my fronts are still powered by the stock unit, and i can fade to the rear to adjust bass output...however, i'm having trouble getting the levels set right on my amp to get a clean output when turned up to match the fronts...i've done alot of tweaking but i'm wondering if i'm going about it wrong...
Is there a step-by-step process for headunit/amp tweaking i should use to get everything matched well so i can get good sound quality and still get nice output? I know it's a stretch considering the components i'm using, but i'm on a tight budget and i want to get the most out of what i have //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif
