1 more question...when you multiply e^x and e^2x what/how do you get?

yea i know that basic formula...but we were dealing with *e* which confused me a bit...thanks

whats the derivative of cos(2x)? i know derivitive of cos is -sin...
cos(u) = d/dx * d[f]/du =
u = 2x
d/dx = 2
d[f]/du = d[cos(u)]/du = -sin(u)
-2sin(u) = -2sin(2x)
u = 2x
d/dx = 2
d[f]/du = d[cos(u)]/du = -sin(u)
-2sin(u) = -2sin(2x)

Does it matter what the variable is? Use x (the standard) if it helps you.
