I'm not sure about a discussion section but the subwoofer and amplifier classifieds on fb move a lot more than these forums. not a great way to verify somebodies history/references though

Ya I agree with sundownz. I realized that forums in general are phasing out like 3 years ago. Social media has almost completely taken over them. Pretty sad in my opinion because forums are the best place to get good information and meet good people.

I've found this forum to be valuable generally...specifically if you have questions about amps and subs...quite a bit about speakers, but generally only a few specific brands and about the same with head units.

A big problem, as has been responded to, is the "questioner" often has no idea what he is asking only "making a weird noise", "stops working after...", "distortion when I ...", etc. Then doesn't understand the answer, leaves out nearly all the important information or ******* when he is told that the stuff he bought is a bunch of cheap ****, often from China and worse wonders why his sub $150.00 double din head unit and $50.00 1000 watt amp doesn't work and defends his purchase as "what he can afford" and ignores it when people tell him he is better off saving his money...

Another part is people asking questions seem to think the forum members have installed every device out there in every car/truck out there and have had every problem as well...They don't seem to realize we have our favorites, often after years of trial and error, and don't have the budgets or time to do the above. I also think they think we have done all the assinine s hit they do regularly...they don't seem to realize that most use well accepted practices and methods for gear installation and think about what the f uck we are doing before doing it...

I read them for the humor and piling on rather for learning something.
