Does the IDMAX Have an Equal?

The IDMax is an awesome driver. The Fi Q is an awesome driver. The Polk SR is an awesome driver. The JL W6 and W7 are are awesome drivers.

All mentioned are great drivers and they also all different sounds to them. For great sq the new Idq V.3 is amazing. The Idmax and the matrix are sweet sounding long throw woofers and the sound is a bit different. The oz matrix is the best biter of the max, so if you can fit the max and want something similar go with the matrix.

No, I think what he's saying is what I and some other's seem to notice in nearly any subwoofer conversation on this board. It almost always boils down to "just get an Fi" or "that shyt is over-priced, Fi is cheaper and sounds just as good if not better."
You'd think Fi's can not only play music, but cook your breakfast and do your laundry too.

IDMAX is **** good sub and for so many to just dismiss it and say "meh, get an Fi" blows me away.

I really need to get around listening to a pair of Fi's and see just what exact groundbreaking feat of engineering these poeple have discovered to allow them to not only make a sub that sounds as good or better than everything out there...but can be done at seemingly half the cost or better.

I recomend the IDQv3 they look amazing and can handle a lot of power compared to previous model's. I think that it would do well in your install.

similar, but the iDmax is much more musical imo.
i'd take this statement w/ a grain of salt for you didn't know how to wire a sub when you owned your iDmax.

Have you had both with the same setup? I bet no! And on top of sounded better TO ME.... It didn't break like the Max and the shop I deal with said it happens a bunch where the cone seperates. I posted on here and got replies with the same problem. It's your money so buy what you want. Try them all for Pete's sake. It's only money!

Maybe a Soundsplinter RL-P. I really love them.
They work well with 600 watts, and they aren't too expensive.

I'm not assuming. I have both and the FI is stayin put. It works better from what I can hear. As a plus it hasn't busted or anything yet. What results have you gotten with both in the same setup?

I really like my BMs, not sure on the depth on them though. If you can find them and they are 7" or less I would highly recommend them, they sound great and can hit pretty hard.

I have a couple buddies that have the Max and I have the Q. I could take pictures of my FI if you would like? Trust me, the Q is not a better woofer. I had mine for 1 week and poof! Friends IDMax's are still going 2 years later with no problem at all with more watts than me.
