I've got 4-600$ to spend on subs, i want something that is going to give me good sq, nothing low end, nor do i want competition. Looking for something that can pound if i want it to. Not really any preference on size, 2 10's, 2 12's 1 12, don't think i have room for a 15. I need sub/amp/box. What is my best option IYO?

I would get something by Image Dynamics. They make superb SQ subwoofers and i promise you will not be disappointed. Probably the IDQ...v3 if possible. Maybe two 10" IDQv3's would be around $500 and would love a solid 1k rms total. I think that would be a great setup sealed!! ported too but if you dont absolutely crave the low end loudness then i love mine in a sealed box!!

edit: Sorry that wouldnt leave you with enough for an amp or box i didnt read fully!! sorry about that but maybe just 1 10" IDQv3 sealed with 500rms going to it. that would run around $600

well i could possibly squeeze more money into it. My gf needs to get me birthday/christmas present, and is willing to spend "NOT A PENNY OVER 400" she informed me. And my parents are also looking for ideas. Aswell i get incentive checks from my work, so i would say 6-750 max for sub(s)/Box/Amp.

Don't rule out IDQ v2's, still a great sounding sub and they can be had cheaper than the v3's. You can probably find a good deal used. I got 2 10's for $250 shipped used but they looked and sounded brand new, not a scratch on them. Then maybe a cadence amp and wires.

what kind of vehicle is this going into? you said you don't think you have room for 15"s but almost every car has room for 15s. Anyways, with 400 your single-sub applications are very good. What kind of amp are you running? My pick with no info would be Rockford P3's in any size

How are these FI X 12's? Are they good for a sealed application and would they sound good and get loud?

I'm actually trying to figure this out myself... Everyone says they sound good, but you don't see much on the output....

I was going to go with a couple of the PG RSd's but if I can get two of these for $160 and they sound anywhere close to the PG's then that is an awesome deal and I will just get these x's.
