Does the IDMAX Have an Equal?

JL is overpriced, get a Fi.

He is asking for a shallower option to the IDmax.

Just because I don't have 31k posts on this fuktard forum doesn't mean I have no clue. I only post what I know and have heard. A lot of times that happens to be a FI product.

With 600watts I still say lvl3 ftw.

That phrase is getting really annoying. Get an FI what? Fi is not a speaker, its a name of a company. Even if your saying get an Fi subwoofer which one?! I bet any 5th grader is smarter than you. (Fi told me)

similar, but the iDmax is much more musical imo.

I sent my IDMax back for repair and got a Q. The Q is better.
i'd take this statement w/ a grain of salt for you didn't know how to wire a sub when you owned your iDmax.

Ah. just save some money and get a type R, you'll be happy! You could give ether Polk Audio SR series, or Boston G5 a shot for excellent sq.
Type R i may be somewhat new but arnt Type Rs like budget ENTRY LEVEL SUBS or am I wrong get an FI Bl good for SPL and good for SQ or if you can afford it get an MM12" probably one of the best 12s for SQ on the market I also have heard good things about the 3"aura

I'm looking for a 12" sub similar to the IDMAX in terms of sound quality and output... But it needs to have a mounting depth of no more than 7".
Any suggestions?
Image already released the IDQ10 V3. Reading on Image forum they IDQ12 V3. The IDQ10v3 looks very nice with a bit more power handling capability. I suspect the IDQ12v3 should offer similar specs. I'm waiting to see the specs on the IDQ12 V3 myself.

Here is the link to the spec sheet for the IDQ10V3.

Two new IDQ's would be better. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
'tis the best recommendation for what the OP's asking for so far, imo. I'm currently pondering if I should replace my iDmax with 2 new IDQ v.3s
