Does the economy have you nervous?

Couple of things. I didnt say that I couldnt sleep at night due to worrying about the economy.
The 100 dollars I was referring to was to point out that saving 100 hundred dollars in the short term doesnt mean jack, and that the person commenting about buying a scooter was missing the entire point of the thread.

And you will have to excuse me for not falling down and crying for those that make less. i was married at 18 and had 2 kids by 21. I didnt get any help from anyone for anything. So if you arent happy with where you are in life, do something about it.

When people in my area were rushing to sell their homes to buy a 4-500k house, I sat tight and was fine with the home I have been in with my small mortgage.

And because we make a decent living I am not supposed to be concerned about the economy? What is your point to this???

We don't seemed to be as worried about the economy as much as you are and your 140k pay between the two of you. Some people amaze me. Who gives a shit what you think, what about people that barely get by?

For some reason my concerns mean less because i am in the upper income bracket? I am not supposed to be concerned?

What about those that barely get by? Go to school after working all day like I did. Work hard to get out of that shitty job.

So take that and shove it up your ***.
Oh, tuff guy, with all the big words. Stick to what you know Mr. Math man. I betcha your class hates your guts.

About the whole you shouldn't be concerned about the economy. No, you shouldn't as much as other people barely getting by. Your arrogant and ignorant all in the same breath bud. You think your shit don't stink because you knocked up your kids at an early stage of your life and you worked your way up. Good for you! There is so many people like you, so quite acting like your better than us. You would think you would understand more being you have been down in the gutter before too. Your kind make me want to kick your bucket sooner, rather than later. Do us all a favor!

So 100 smacks is nothing to you? That is nice to know. 100 smacks would make my car run for a month and a half.

Shove that down your *** *****!

Yeah I am not that old but the economy makes me a little nervous. I work for a casino here and we have seen a slow down in the amount of people in. We still get the rich that will come in a lose millions which is why we haven't been effected that much. But my fiance works for a more local chain of casinos and they have laid people off and already cited the current economy as a reason to double their cost of health insurance.

Funny that you go and tell me to shove 100 bucks up my ***, then when I respond in kind, you accuse me of being a "tough guy."

I am certainly not arrogant, but I guess if I dont spell out in big words and speak slowly you wont understand what I am saying. Go back and reread the original few posts and you MIGHT understand what i was saying. What i WASNT saying is that I am better than anyone because of any income.

I only pointed out ncome in the beginning to make a point that even though I am OK right now financially that I am very concerned with where things are headed.

Have a nice day.

man...if I made 100K a year I would be so happy

I would be travelling all over the world and buying lots of JL Audio stuff

I used to think that way. There was a time when i could not understand why people would pay 20 bucks to have their oil changed. Then something happened......... my families income went way up. Now the thought of wasting an hour of my time for a 25 dollar oil change is a joke. Some things are worth it and some are not. So while you want to insult , I laugh at your 100 dollar savings. That 100 bucks wont fill the tanks on my 2 jet skis.
Dont be so short sighted..... Oh, I forgot, you are probably young and cant see past your nose. That will change as you grow up.
I don't like how you consider changing your oil beneath you. For me, it is something I enjoy. I think it is crazy how when one gets a family, every minute of their life becomes so much more valueable....it's not. The world will keep on spinning with or without you and your family.

I personally could care less what everything else is doing....my reasoning for buying a motorcycle was that I can make payments on the bike, pay for insurance and gas for less than I was spending at the pump for either of my autos. last month I went 2,000 miles on less than $100.
As for the price of everything else; with the savings I make on gas it is all affordable with my current income! If you want to stress over money then do it...gas was the only thing bothering me and now that worry is gone

edit: how about you fix your A/C yourself instead of paying for someone to do it...work on your own shit. if you don't have the knowledge, learning is cheaper than being ignorant

what bike gives you 80+mpg??

It was not long ago i was in that bracket. The more you make, the more you have to lose.
If you are a stupidass then yes. I still live on the same budget as I did when I was 17 making ~$6/hr. Yes, I bought a house...but not the "best" house. I control my bills such that if I could survive on the minimum wage. If you think "Oh My...I make $xyz and spend on that level, then you do have much to lose. I leave such haphazard spending to idiots.

I have always liked that quote //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I may not have explained myself correctly. NOTHING is beneath me. it just becomes a matter of priorities. I changed the breaks on one of my cars 3 weeks ago. I redid my back yard this summer. I will do whatever work that is worth it to me.

I had a guy give me a 7k quote to lay tile in my house..... at that point I determined it was time to learn how to lay some tile. I did, and then I laid about 1000 sq feet of tile in my house.

All I was saying is that at this point, id just rather pay the 25 bucks and not deal with the hassle of doing an oil change myself. It doesnt mean I feel I am better than the guy changing my oil.

As you get older and make more, your view on things just change.

Don't need to reread what you said. I perfectly understand what you are trying to say.

So like I said, go kick the bucket, ok Monkey??

You implied that saving $100 isn't shit to you, spending $25 on an oil change isn't shit to you, etc....it seems you are coming across like a pompus jerk. Not to say you are, as this is one of the first threads in which we have interacted.
