You implied that saving $100 isn't shit to you, spending $25 on an oil change isn't shit to you, etc....it seems you are coming across like a pompus jerk. Not to say you are, as this is one of the first threads in which we have interacted.
But isn't fuel conversation part of the solution? I mean, I started carpooling. It saves a little bit here and there, but I also feel like I am doing my part to help the economy. Here is what i was responding to in regards to the 100 bucks.
I personally could care less what everything else is doing....my reasoning for buying a motorcycle was that I can make payments on the bike, pay for insurance and gas for less than I was spending at the pump for either of my autos. last month I went 2,000 miles on less than $100.
What I was trying to convey to that person was that the little savings that he is seeing by using a motorcycle doesnt mean much in the large scheme of things. I wasnt saying that saving money in general is unimportant. My point is that savings that small in the big picture wont solve any problems that may arise due to the problems currently facing all of us in the current state of our economy. I thought this person was looking at things in the short term.
