Does the economy have you nervous?

No offense here, but your response makes my point. Do you really think YOU personally can control the situation by buying a scooter?
Do you think the cost of gas alone has me shivering? So i spend 80 bucks to fill my truck instead of 45. That 35 bucks in 10 days is nothing. But that cost of gas impacts everything around us. The guy that comes to fix the AC, they charge more, the grocery store has to charge more, EVERYTHING you buy is impacted by the price of fuel.

My wifes job that deals with cardboard boxes is impacted. It never ends.
I personally could care less what everything else is doing....my reasoning for buying a motorcycle was that I can make payments on the bike, pay for insurance and gas for less than I was spending at the pump for either of my autos. last month I went 2,000 miles on less than $100.

As for the price of everything else; with the savings I make on gas it is all affordable with my current income! If you want to stress over money then do it...gas was the only thing bothering me and now that worry is gone

edit: how about you fix your A/C yourself instead of paying for someone to do it...work on your own shit. if you don't have the knowledge, learning is cheaper than being ignorant

The economy is ****ing me directly in the *** as I try to hold on to the last bit of hope... We're doomed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Things will bounce back; I'm not really worried just yet.

You know there's going to be another babyboom in about 5 years? That will also directly effect the housing market.

the only friends you have are internet friends. with your attitude very few people could stand to be around you. you are a very stupid and arrogant little person. yet you have no reason to be arrogant because you are stupid. yet being stupid you don`t know that you have no reason to be arrogant. poor you stuck in a stupid arrogant circle. enjoy eating your scooter when you can`t afford food.

As a former Marine, you better think long and hard about the military as an option. That shit is no joke. I used the military as a way to pay for school, but I am not sure I would do it again in the current state of affairs.

Dying for your country is all BS. Those kids are not dying for our country, they are dying because they are political pawns.

Go to freaking school. At 21 there isnt much you can do anyways. You have little experience and no education.

Military is an option, but it woul dbe the last for my kids.

Good luck.
i call BS

you did non of the above. no marines and no school. i mean; look at your grammar and spelling.

the economy is a mess...I own my own business and am part of a 100M+franchise system,,,,,,,most are down 35-40% in gross sales...

The good thing is these hard times will shake off the bad apples from the trees and put out of business all the bums and poor business people I consider competition

I am sumizing that this is temporary and will bounce back sometime in 2009

Gas prices will never come down again,IMO..

The weak dollar is more upsetting that high gas prices, gas prices are world wide messed up high

but our own dollar is weak and even the illeagals are leaving for better jobs elsewhere

As for you young kids just getting out of College, your screwed bigtime, your grandparents have

ruined a once great country - -

Ive been married for almost 20 years, own my house, life is good, wife and I bring in around 140k, and for the first time in my life, I am actually a little concerned about the economy.
So thats like actually $50 a year per person if you live elsewhere right? I mean, you DO live in California and incomes are somewhat more proportional to the local increased cost of living.

As far as gas prices go, I plan to buy a ecno box eventually to drive to work and putt around town. And just keep my 12 MPG gass guzzling 1/8 mile car in the garage for weekend use only. Times a bee a changn'

The economy is as good or bad as you think it is.
Indeed... personally, I've had two record months in a row fueled by growth in overseas markets.

The economy as a whole in the USA sucks right now, but I have a feeling it is temporary - and the USA has definitely seen worse in the past.

I used to think that way. There was a time when i could not understand why people would pay 20 bucks to have their oil changed. Then something happened......... my families income went way up. Now the thought of wasting an hour of my time for a 25 dollar oil change is a joke. Some things are worth it and some are not. So while you want to insult , I laugh at your 100 dollar savings. That 100 bucks wont fill the tanks on my 2 jet skis.

Dont be so short sighted..... Oh, I forgot, you are probably young and cant see past your nose. That will change as you grow up.

No. I literally mean what I said. A very large part of how well an economy is doing is the confidence in it by the citizens. If people don't think an economy is doing well, they begin to make rash decisions that can be unpredictable and usually do not support economic growth. This is what will ultimately bring an economy down. Not the rise in gas prices, but the people's reaction to it.

This is also why despite our economy being on a downturn, President Bush always had positive things to say about it. If he got on TV and said, "We're all fucked", everyone would have panicked and then we would have been fucked for sure.

Why would someone possibly lie about being prior military? My grammar and spelling are simply a matter of choice when posting on an internet message board. I simply type with little regard to spelling or typos. Simply because i dont give a shit.

I was in HMT-204, then went to HMM-261 prior to the first gulf war. But if you call BS, good for you. BS it must be.

Look back at my post and come up with ANY possible scenario why someone would lie about what i was saying.
