Everyone that thinks you *have* to set a gain to a certain level is either uninformed or stupid.

I can get them close enough by turning them all the way up and keeping the volume low. It doesn't make a difference where the gains are as long as your good with the volume knob.

But u should set gains becouse u want the scale of variety. Its not cool if your max volume is at 5

true thats why i personally set my gains lets say half way or a lil past and see where that puts my volume as far as bass to mid/high level of volume equally. but i also am very good with the volume knob, because truly that is the gain knob that really matters, i think.

I forgot to ask..

Should HPF and LPF be ON or OFF when setting gains?

Or maybe OFF on the HU but ON on the amp?

Or OFF on the amp and ON on the HU

Or what? ^^
