does my amp work with my two 12s? i dont think so.. help plz

ok listen.......take everything you know and throw it out of the window. the impedance the sub are wired to and the impedance the amp sees(which are the same things) has nothing to do with being better. Generally you want to go as low as your amp is stable to in order to get maximum watts

if it is dual2 it can be wired to 1 or 4 ohms

if it is dual 4 it can be wired to 2 or 8 ohms

Your amp is 2 ohm stable and in order to achieve maximum performance you want to wire your sub to 2 ohms but you need to know if you have a d2 or d4 first off

Your amplifier can run at any ohm load as long as it is equal to or greater than 2 ohms. If it is less (say 1 ohm) your amp will overheat and probably go into protect or possibly blow

k i need to get a few things straight.. what is a ohm 1.2.3.4? is it the - + - + ? where you connect the wires to on the amplifier? and is it a d2 or d4 for the amp or the sub?

d2 and d4 refer to the sub woofer. Ohm is the resistance of the voice coil and is usualy either single 1 2 or 4...or dual 1 2 or 4. Dual means that there are 2 voice coils that can be wired together in either series or parallel(which is why i said a d2 can be wired to either 1 or 4 ohms) O and I just checked and your amp is only stable at 4 ohms when you bridge two of the channels so make sure you dont wire it below 4 ohms or it may overheat

you need to fin out if your sub is dual 2 or dual 4 ........not your amp(your amp is 4 ohm stable when bridged and this will never change)

so at 4 ohm its bridged right?
not necessarily....you could run all 4 channels at 4 ohm or 2 ohms....but when you bridge 2 channels your option to run the amp at 2 ohm is no longer available because it will overheat meaning you must run it at 4 ohms when you bridge 2 channels
