ported boxes dont work like that. They have to be designed to subwoofer specs and the port area has to be calculated to the tunning freq. of your choice. So you cant just cut a hole and call it portedk so for now i think im gonna have to take the pioneer out so my system wont blow.. for the ported box im just gona take the 12 inch pioneer out n its ported good to go and just wait for some new gear
yea and it is probably too big for you subwoofer. Like I said above each subwoofer has different needs as far as boxes go. If you give me the model of the sub I can recommend you a good starting point for the boxhmm actualy i have a ported 12 inch box but its really huge.. dont really like usin this cause i dont have easy access to my spare tire and takes up alot more room in the trunk..
