Hey I was wondering...I just got two 12 in Type Rs in a sealed box and had a few questions. First I have RCAs going from the rear channels of my speaker amp to my sub amp because its to cold and Im to lazy to install RCAs from the headunit to the sub amp right now so does strapping a amp like this have any negative and unwanted effects. When I had my JLs in using this old lanzar amp I was always hearing this beating sound even when the subs werent playing music but I dont hear that anymore with this new setup so Im guessing that was just the amp going bad. Also subsonic filter...this amp has one now lol so does it need to be used in a sealed box???? Im planning on upgrading to a port later on but for now does it need to be used?
Also....the amp has buttons that I can press to change the ohm load on the amp...Does this do anything to the subs if I dont change the wiring??? Im currently giving the subs 200 a piece at 4ohms but plan on turning the amp up and giving them around 400 a piece at 1ohm load once it starts to get a lil bit more warmer out.
And last question....my friend had some CVRs that I guess "broke" in a car accident that he had so he plans on buying some new subs and he said I could have his ported box. The sub box is from the DCVR12 package so does anyone know the port freq of the box and if it would be alright to use 12in Type-Rs in the box.
