Does god exist?

I will allow you to define it. Only this once though... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
You will allow him? Who do you think you are... God? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Something exists that made everything. Perhaps we are a bit too simple and think that earth is the start of it all, we may just be some atoms hitting each other making life as we know it, but there was a start.

It might be true that the conditions required for the universe as we know it require a series of highly unlikely possibilities, and that the probability of all these things coming together perfectly to form our universe is extremely small. However, I fail to see why chance, or some presently unknown explanation, is somehow absurd and the existence of a hidden, purposive, secretive, and intelligent designer is acceptable. Putting aside the possibility of some presently unknown mechanism, I do not have difficulty believing that the universe as we know it could have been the result of chance alone; the fact that I am here negates that being impossible as much as it proves the existence of an intelligent designer.

Given only two options, seemingly impossible odds or the existence of an intelligent designer, the latter would be the clear choice. But when we allow for a third option and return to the previously set aside idea that the universe can be explained by some presently unknown mechanism or force, the fine tuning argument loses its appeal. It would seem to me, that the probability of us not gaining more knowledge on the subject is somewhere near the probability of all the requirements for life and our universe being fulfilled by chance alone. Perhaps this knowledge that we are likely to acquire in the future will substantiate the claims made by proponents of the fine tuning argument, it is also possible that new knowledge will refute these claims.

I bet you cheated.

This is about the billionth time we've had this conversation. It is going to go something like this:
Person A: There is a god.

Person B: No there isn't.

Person A: STFU, yes there is.

Person B: You're a ****ing idiot and you're wrong. Ban?

Person A: Noob....

And it will go on for 10 pages or so, in which case no one will be able to prove either side and everyone makes an *** of themselves.
I'm just going to go ahead and quote myself before you people get too caught up in discussion...

ya i agree with faulton. there's no way that everything in the universe could fall into place by chance. i mean, just look at how blood clots. that is such a complicated process that theres no way that could have happened by chance.

and yes, there was ****** in the beginning, because there wasn't enough people. ****** also occured when God flooded the Earth, because only Noah's family was left. It is believed that all of the continents were connected at one time (pangaea or something like that) and that the flood separated the continents into what we have now. Also, the Earth is only 6,000 years old. The way they date things are estimation, and scientists dont know that by dating things with different isotopes if it gives an object an age of 200 milllion years, because scientists cant compare it with anything to confirm that estimation.

God exists.

Check out this website. I have heard this guy speak before several times at different churches. My mom and dad even have all of his creation videos, and they are amazing. If you ever have the opportunity to see this guy in person, GO!. he has such an awesome personality and it will be a great show.
