Does anyone know!!

What...you gotta look at how many ohms your amp is also? All I know (I think I know) is if you have an 8 ohm sub and you bridge it...it drops it down to 4 ohms, and I guess if you had a 4 ohm it would drop to 2ohms.I don't understand about ohms... concerning the amp.....when you bridge, is it the speaker or the amp that drops ohms? Can someone please break this down for me!!
impedence depends on how your sub is wired inside the box. when it comes to amplifiers some amps are not stable at certain ohm loads. if you wire a sub down to 1 ohm and the amp is not 1 ohm stable you could potentially fry the amp.

amps put out most power at certain ohm loads and you match a subwoofer/s voice coil/s to the amp. ie. A crossfire vr1000d puts out 1000 watts at 1 ohm, so you would want to buy a subwoofer that you can wire to 1 ohm(dual 2ohm) so you can get the 1000 watts from the amp.

My subs are 8 ohms... bridged on a 2 channel amp, so that makes the speaker ohms drop to 4 correct? And therefore my amp is more powerful correct?? How would i wire my subs different to drop them lower than 4 ohms being it is already bridged????? ~ Thanks~

So your saying I will always get the max. output of the amp according to the speakers ohms (if the amp is 2 or 1 ohm stable)how do you get 2 8 ohm subs down to 2 or 1 ohm/ohms with a 2-channel amp that is already bridged on them or is it the amp that's going down to 2 or 1 ohms?....................And also Example:It would be stupid to use an amp that is 2 or 1 ohm stable on an 8 ohm subwwofer????? Am I close...lol

sorta close

you cant make just 1x 8 ohm sub wire to 2 or 1 ohm it doesn't work...

to get that ohm ... say 2 ohms... you need 4x 8 ohms resistances look at that wiring wizard and play with it and you will start to understand better

Ok...Now I'm pickin up what you layin down big Hommie...For instance...it would be redundent to use a really good 2 ohm sub on a $30.00 Sparkamatic 25x2 Watt amplifier!! TRUE DAT......Where can I find this "Wiring Wizard" you speak about?
