ant...how much does SS smell? is it asphalt based or what?

a thick amount of newspaper with a layer of undercoating per 3~4 sheets.. that wn't be TOO effective, but there will be a slight difference...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Ok, this is what some people here in Korea do, if they have to cover up their whole boot and want to save money on damping mats...

1. get any newspaper

2. get an undercoating spray

3. For every 3 or 4 pages, coat the next page with undercoat.

once you've reached about 3~4cm in thickness, there you go, a home-made damping mat. Oh, and spray the top and bottom pages as well. From then on, you can use a knife to cu to your desired shape, but be forewarned, your knife will blunt very quickly.

might be......i heard it takes about 3-5 weeks with complete ventilation to make the smell of asphalt go away...wouldn't doubt it...the stuff is made for roofs, outside.

that roof thing is really, really cheap ehre, but no one here uses it, cause it was reported that the fumes let out by the stuff was very hazardous to health...

Well, for only $75 i guess i can live with a smell that will eventually go away. What are the most important areas to hit....i will do multiple layers in those areas if possible. Also, will the thickness of this stuff be big enough so that it will lift stuff up enough that holes and such wont line up anymore.?
