Does anyone have input on why one or both front car speakers would be going in and out?

So I have a Kenwood DNX994S head unit installed in my truck and just recently I noticed the drivers side speaker go out...then eventually it comes back on and the passenger side goes out! Now they alternate or go out at the same time, and sometimes you can still faintly hear one working. I'm at wits end, is it the head unit? All the wiring is soldered and insulated and no issues with the rear speakers or the sub. Any input would be appreciated!

I had the same issue with a Pioneer double din in a Silverado. Space was tight in there causing the wiring harness to press against the radio terminal and cutting off intermittently. Ended up punching the radio, making it completely useless. Yeah, smart move. Anyways, you may be having the same issue.

Id also check to see if the hole for the speakers are clear from the speaker terminals, and not grounding out on the door frame. Ive had to cut a notch out due to this on several vehicles for the terminals to be free from contact
