Can't stand the vocals. He's not even really singing, more like yelling. I know that my style isn't singing either, but that kind of vocals just gets annoying to me.

Between the Buried and Me come to mind with that last sentence.
They have a lot of talent. Their songs go nowhere, or really move. Their lyrics could be amazing, if you could understand them. They need to focus on songwriting as opposed to implementing as many styles and such in one song.

I'm glad that they sample the broad spectrum of music that is out there, while still maintaining a complete work of art (Colors, in particular).

To me, their songs just don't seem to go anywhere. I am not denying their ability or technicality at all. They obviously have a ridiculous amount of talent. I'm all for experimenting as well. Just the songs that I hear, don't seem to go anywhere, or really move.

And comparing them to other bands may be foolish, but there are a lot of experimental bands, that to me, had songs that moved and flowed. I just don't get that vibe from them.

I am, however, downloading their discography to give them another shot. I like their sound except the vocals, so I'm willing to see if they have other songs that I like.

Start with Colors. If you don't like that album, you probably won't like any of the earlier stuff (although I think those albums are pretty good in their own right).

its one thing to listen to death metal [i listen to necrophagist, and they are insane] but its another to insult those that listen to a very influencial band that if they had not excisted, metal would have died in the 90's and your death metal wouldn't be the same. i like rap too. i need to buy me some old school snoop dogg cus his shits awesome.

Korn has some songs that still Rock out, but not what they used to be. I don't care as long as they play their good songs live, I am all good! They still kill it live!

Personally, i do NOT agree with the OP.

Even though him and I listen to the same exact music, I don't classify it as metal.

Metal is the stuff other people are listing on here.

the stuff I listen to should be classified as post-metal..Nu metal...metalcore..hardcore. Whatever you want to call it, still good.
