They work well if you've upgraded the rest of the system, such as intake manifold, headers, exhaust.

I hate the sond that intakes make...

to me it's not worth the hassle, wow 5whp increase....

Many on this forum might think there uselss but when coupled with other items (ex: bigger TB/aftermarket intake manifolds/head work/cams/headers/cat back) they can actualy be very usefull and generaly help the other mods produce more HP then they would with out it.

they increase your gas mileage a bit if you have good inhale and exhale on my XA (stock 38 highway) i was getting 42-45 highway with 600 bucks worth of intake/headers/exhaust

it sounded alot better than stock.. not so whiny, and it gave it a tiny bit more power, almost unnoticeable.

Im actually looking to make my truck quicker. Its kind of sluggish. But, I want to be able to sit at a light when someone wants to race, and have something thats worth racing.

Well a CAI alone will not do that for you.
